Event organisers Shelton Fleming brought in specialist caterers, Chilli Pepper, to create the bespoke menu for the evening, working to the peacocks and pinstripes theme, and taking into consideration the fashion and textile element of the venue.
Maurice Fleming of Shelton Fleming added:
“Having worked with Chilli Pepper on various events in the past we were confident they would deliver beyond the brief once again. With their attention to detail in every aspect of the food, service and delivery we believed Chilli Pepper’s fusion of the fundamental elements of the Pinstripes and Peacock Launch would be exactly what our client the F & T museum were looking for. Chilli Pepper exceeded our expectations once again.”
Chilli Pepper cater for the launch of Fiat’s new 500 series
Chilli Pepper were contracted to create a menu of gastronomic delicacies to celebrate the official unveiling of the new Fiat 500 series to the press.
The London event was designed to launch the iconic Fiat 500, recently voted car of the year 2008. Event management company Tebays organised and managed the four day event, unveiling the stylish, sporty new Fiat to the world’s media just days before the official public launch at the London Eye on January 21st, held precisely 500 hours into the New Year.
Key national and specialist press were treated to breakfast in the swanky Baglioni Hotel before embarking on a unique test drive which took guests away from the busy city centre traffic up to the historic Leeds Castle in the heart of Kent. The excursion was followed by lunch at the awe-inspiring landmark building, Europe’s Leading School of Contemporary Dance, Laban, where catering specialists Chilli Pepper were contracted to provide lunch for the prestigious guests. Three brand new Fiat 500’s were placed on the unique topiary by the building’s entrance and a luxurious banquet was provided for around 40 press personnel on each day of the four day launch.
Huguette Boyagis, consultant to Fiat, added: “The food was absolutely fantastic and we had loads of really positive feedback from the journalists, I am only sorry that I never had the chance for more than a cappuccino and the wonderful minestrone!” |
