Chilli Pepper feed visitors to The Alltech European Jumping & Dressage Championships

Chilli Pepper created more than 10 different menus for the Alltech European Jumping & Dressage Championships at Windsor Castle seeing the catering company working in 5 different kitchens across the event site this August.

The event attracted more than 60,000 British and international visitors across the six day event and Chilli Pepper was commissioned to manage the event site’s catering requirements which ranged from the full hospitality menus through to the selection of concessions for the public.

More than 10 different menus were created for the Welcome party in Royal Mews in Windsor Castle for 500 guests, the Castle Restaurant & Loges full hospitality for 5000 guests, the riders and official’s restaurant and bar, all organiser, media and VIP areas and the public restaurant.

The menus vary from three course meals, champagne and canapés for corporate hospitality through to breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings for grooms and crew, the public restaurant and even a packed lunch option for the show’s volunteers.

Chilli Pepper brings extra spice to Garsington’s 20th anniversary opera season

Chilli Pepper provided a fine dining experience for up to 300 guests per evening at Garsington Opera, which ran for 21 nights.

This was Chilli Pepper’s first year at Garsington Opera, following its success securing a three year contract with the event last October, and the team had to meet an exacting brief. Meanwhile, the event itself was celebrating its 20th anniversary, welcoming amongst others, international conductor Martin André and Columbian soprano Juanita Lascarro and Russian Sergei Leiferkus.

Chilli Pepper was asked to improve the diversity and quality of the menu and to encourage opera fans to dine at the event as well as enjoy the performance. Accordingly, Chilli Pepper Head Chef Dan Mann designed a menu that would entice the most cultured palates.

Among the challenges were to serve the three course meal in a tight time window of one hour and ten minutes, ensuring there was absolute silence in the kitchen area after service to avoid disturbing the opera performance.

Chilli Pepper feed Royal Windsor Horse Show and Windsor Castle Royal Tattoo

Chilli Pepper catered for this year’s Royal Windsor Horse Show and Windsor Castle Royal Tattoo, held in the private grounds of Windsor Castle.

On the evenings of the Horse Show, the showground welcomes The Windsor Castle Royal Tattoo, a military and musical spectacular celebrating the endeavours of our Armed Forces. In total, these prestigious events welcome around 70,000 visitors across five days.

Chilli Pepper catered for the site’s three hospitality areas split across the site, to include the Royal Windsor Horse Show Presidents & Governors lunch, Windsor Castle Royal Tattoo Corporate Presidents & Governors dining, and a member’s restaurant, lounge, seafood bar and café that operated for both the day time and evening activities. This year Chilli Pepper also managed the choice of concessions on site to ensure they met the standard and appearance of the show.

Across the corporate hospitality areas, lunch and dinner options were served and ranged from canapé and three course plated lunch and dinner menus to a carvery selection for the restaurant and a seafood bar in the lounge, to a canapé reception for the Queen!
